CPEC Agreement

China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)

By any measure the China Pakistan Economic Corridor would be impressive in any country in the world.

That it is a joint venture between China destined to become the worlds largest economy and Pakistan an emerging economy that is destined to become the 3rd most populous in the world makes it full of exciting potential.

CPEC is a framework of infrastructure development from 2017 to 2030 that provides roads, railways, airport, seaport, power stations and special economic zones offering tax exemptions to business.

Specifically it enables the flow of goods and services from China, Central Asia and Pakistan more efficiently, more effectively and with less friction and cost which will make the cost of goods even more competitive when reaching their intended markets

These are all the ingredients any town, city or country strives for to accelerate innovation, trade and investment, jobs growth, housing and productivity that generates wealth and improved social wellbeing.

$62 billion dollars of investment conveys the importance in global terms of an infrastructure that will unlock the human potential of Pakistan’s growing population.

It will enable Pakistan to compete in a global marketplace with the most valuable asset it possesses it’s growing working population at a time when in developed economies like Japan, China, USA, Europe are all struggling with ageing populations.
